Lead Pastor
Fred Toomey
Fred Toomey is the lead pastor at Nixa Organic Church, a church plant organized in 2014. He and his wife Angie have been married since 1989. They have two children (Mackie and Cameron), a daughter-in-law (Shelby) and a grandson (Nolan).
Fred has been doing youth ministry for 38 years in the Methodist and Nazarene denominations. He has served as an associate pastor in 3 different churches on the Joplin District Church of the Nazarene. This is his first Lead pastorate.
Fred also serves as the Joplin District NYI President, the North Central Field Youth Coordinator, Secretary for the USA/Canada NYI Council and on the Quizzing Advisory Council for USA/Canada Teen Bible Quizzing.
Associate Pastor
John Sokolnik
John Sokolnik is an ordained elder in the church and serves in bi-vocational ministry as the Connections Pastor while working full-time in Springfield. John rededicated his life to the Lord in 2006 and began serving in Children's Ministry. From there he led Youth and College age student ministry programs in Springfield, MO and Vancouver, WA.
John has been married to his wife Vicki since 1991. Their son, Brandon, resides in Warrensburg, MO.
In their free time, John and Vicki enjoy being outdoors and home improvement projects. If time allows for travel, they especially enjoy fishing and camping.
Associate Pastor
Patrick Wheeler
Patrick Wheeler and his wife Teresa have been married since 1993. They have four children (Nicole, Alex, Nathan and Gabe). He works full time in IT for a large Texas based PC manufacturer. He was ordained in the South Texas District in April, 2019.
Patrick has been involved primarily in youth and music areas of ministry and currently serves as an associate pastor at the NOC, a member of the worship team, and the Joplin District Teen Quizzing Director.
SDMI Superintendent
Beth Biondo
Beth and Carl Biondo have been married since 1996. They have three wonderful daughters: Isabella, Maria and Carlina.
The Biondo’s have been Franchise owners in Nixa and Ozark for the past 15 years. The Biondo’s are new to the Nazarene and the Nixa Organic Church.
Beth serves as the SDMI Superintendent (Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries International).
Beth has served in Children’s Ministry for the past 23 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
She is committed to spreading the love of Christ to the children and families of the Nixa Organic Church.
NMI President
Melodie Goodau
Melodie Goodau and her husband TJ have been married since 2002. They have two amazing daughters that live with them in Nixa (Charlie and Kara) as well as a daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter that reside in Nevada (Alexis and Chance and daughter Audrey).
TJ is an over the road truck driver which allows Melodie to be at home and look after their girls. Charlie is involved in the NYI and Quizzing and Kara loves attending Kids church on Sunday evenings.
Melodie is very excited to see what God has in store for her as she begins her journey as the NMI President for Nixa Organic Church.
Associate Pastor
Lisa Dreckman
Lisa Dreckman has been a licensed Assemblies of God (AG) minister since 1999. Lisa & Scott (Deaf) have been married since 2006 and have one daughter, Elicia.
Lisa has served as a bi-vocational associate pastor in Deaf, young adult, and children's ministries, as well as church planting in the past. She works as a professional ASL interpreter in multiple settings.
The Dreckman family is relatively new to the Nazarene Church and the NOC. They became members in 2021.
Scott & Lisa currently serve on the American Sign Language (ASL) class teaching team. Lisa also interprets weekly for the Deaf at the NOC.
Church Board Secretary
Wiley Hendrix
Wiley and Karrie were married in 2007 and have two sons. Chris works in Springfield, Missouri and Braydon attends college in Florida. They have been members of the Nazarene church since 1996.
NYI President and Worship Leader
Austin & Kara Ross
Austin and his wife Kara have been married since 2016.
Austin is passionate about Nazarene Youth International and encouraging believers to be faithful disciples of Christ.
Kara is the worship leader for the church and also interprets weekly for the Deaf at the NOC.
